Just do more of what makes your soul sing.

I’m a unique-ordinary being, as someone once called it, trying to make sense (and the best) of life. And since I’m wondering about its mysterious ways a lot of the time anyway, I might just as well get it off my chest writing and connecting with other unique-ordinary beings like you – through a smile, a frown, a sigh, a moment of recognition that we’re all somehow in that same rocking boat.

My biggest growth challenge: moving from living perfectly to living soulfully.

My mantra: Just do more of what makes your soul sing.

    1. Thank you for your kind comment. I loved that unique ordinary quote, too. Read it in an article on Tiny Buddha, I think. What a great way to put it. Looking forward to learn about you and Haddon too. 🙂

  2. I am so deeply grateful that you stopped by my blog … and left a comment. Had you not done so, I would not have found my way to your beautiful words … so many that resonate with the truths(?) I, too, have been wrestling with … perfecting, performing …and for me … pleasing and proving. Your words and thoughts touch my heart in ways I cannot explain. I am looking very much forward to sharing time and space with you here. Thank you again for stopping by my blog … you can just never know the miracles that will unfold in an unsuspecting moment! Warmly, Karen

    1. Thank you very much for your warm words. I’m very touched. I’ve come to writing this blog as a means to get all of this out of my system, but it has morphed into more. It’s so rewarding to get other’s feedback and to read about similar journeys. This whole thing about the “same rocking boat” has just become so much more visible to me since.

  3. thank you for dropping by my place and leaving your comment about the No mud. No lotus quote — and your words about this journey we share of coming out from behind the veils.

I look forward to following your journey too — it is one of the things I so adore about this place called ‘blog land in cyberspace’. I find fellow travellers who enlighten and illuminate my path with their brilliance.

    Blessings.

    1. Thank you, Louise, for stopping by, and leaving such a kind comment. I’ve only very recently started discovering the ‘blog land in cyberspace’ as an active participant rather than a passive reader. And you’re so right. There are so many fellow travelers struggling with so many of the same challenges. Even though we might not always find a solution it’s very soothing to just know you’re not alone.

    1. Hi Robin, thank you for your kind nomination. I very much appreciate you selecting me. I hope you don’t mind, though, if I don’t participate. I have decided not to take part in nominations and awards generally. I still do feel honored you picked my blog out of the many that exist. Thank you very much for that. 🙂

    1. Thank you 🙂 I’m glad they make your soul sing too. Still makes me smile every time I go to my blog. Especially since this is so not my usual me. Or maybe it is 🙂 I just wasn’t aware of it before a made the conscious effort to create them.

    1. Thank you for your kind comment. I had that same feeling when reading your blog. Sometimes we stumble upon exactly those that resonate, I find. And I’m grateful for it. It’s very reassuring, especially in tumultuous times.

      1. Yes, and it’s so good to know I’m not in in by myself, so to speak. Thank you for being so open and vulnerable…I’m loving the healing effect it’s having on me.

  5. You would love it at our local beach sinking your feet into the sand. I try to get there a couple of times a week but I end up going all sorts of directions and found myself walking through the local Japanese gardens today. I was hoping to photograph Autumn leaves but most of them weren’t out yet so I strolled around the path marvelling at this piece of Japan in Australia and it was very soothing.
I am looking forward to reading more of your posts.
